New in Version 5.1 + Render
Tile 5.1 + Render consists of Tile 5.1 and a module of export to POV-Ray external render.
The program allows you to export data to POV-Ray render format. Using POV-Ray you can get realistic, high-quality images of your project.
Rendering is the most capacious computing process. One of the main aims of rendering is creating an image as close to reality as possible. While rendering the computer is taking into account all factors to get maximum-realistic images.
POV-Ray render is using ray-tracing technology. It creates an image by modeling the path of light rays in the real world. The ray-tracer is modeling the reverse flow of rays from the camera to the objects. Every time when the object gets on the ray path, in this point the surface color is calculated. The ray is sent from this point to each light source, in order to determine the quantity of light coming from the source. Using POV-Ray render to create images for personal and commercial purposes is free.
Tile 5.1 + Render supports export to POV-RAY official version 3.62 and to POV-RAY beta-version 3.7. Both render versions are 32bit and are intended for use with Microsoft Windows OS. Unlike version 3.62, the beta-version 3.7 supports multiprocessing, that is, if you have a multi-core processor, the program will use all cores and that will lead to proportional increase in speed of rendering.
Program features:
- Program supports the export of materials, 3d objects, light sources, project geometry;
- The result of rendering could be displayed on screen or saved in a bmp file (then you could convert it into *.jpg or *.png format);
- You can adjust the following characteristics:
- Image size;
- Color gamma;
- Image anti-aliasing;
- Light source properties (turn on/off, brightness, color);
- Light properties of all coatings (light dispersion and reflection, glares, etc.);
- Properties of object materials (material replacement to mirror, metal, glass, color replacement, transparency adjustment);
- Zoom (±60%);
- Ability to hide/show ceiling;
- Ability to turn on/off daylight and/or sun rays (you can set sun position and angle above the horizon).
POV-Ray features:
- Anti-aliasing;
- Gamma correction;
- Radiosity (calculation of reflected light);
- Light source properties adjustment;
- Material properties adjustment (mirror, metal, glass, etc.).
New in Version 5.1
- The button “Panoramic view” (Hand) — a mode for scene movement by mouse in the line of image plane.
- Automatic room reframing when creating one.
- Traced work load — now you can see a process of loading saved project on the screen.
- Changes in workig with materials for 3D-objects — there is no confusion with textures of different objects.
- A feature to substitute generated picture to object imagery for any other in utility “Make3dt”.
- Loft generation mode: outputing calculation and a picture of all surfaces in project simultaneously. Mode facilities:
- list function for deducible surfaces;
- scaling of deducible surfaces;
- type calculation sampling;
- export to Microsoft® Excel®;
- Rendering mode:
- shade from light out of windows (max 3);
- shade from positioned light sources (max 6 including windows);
- setting of shade depth;
- setting of shade direction;
- facility to smooth shade borders;
- facility to smooth roughness of seams pattern
- Export of Calculation results to OpenOffice Calc;
- Facility to copy objects and plates in project;
- Texture optimization for all types of cover.
Limitations of DEMO
- The possibility of saving projects is switched off;
- You can’t add or import new tiles into the Tile Catalogue;
- You can’t change tile texture (the options “Download” and “Paste” are switched off);
- Access to 3DT objects is limited (only the first 10 objects in subfolder “Models” are available, subfolders are not displayed);
- Access to 3DS and 3DT objects isn’t possible (the button “Set up the object” is switched off);
- Export of Calculation results to Microsoft® Excel® is switched off.
